Artist | Social Media Strategist | Educator

Gabriela Simich is now a Content Marketing Strategist for Symphony Talent, a recruitment marketing agency.

After graduating from the University of Alabama, Gabriela fulfilled a childhood dream of becoming a professional dancer with Nevada Ballet in Las Vegas where she also performed in choreographic collaborations with Cirque du Soleil. She soon found herself interning in the marketing department in between dance rehearsals.

While working on an M.F.A. in dance, at University of California, Irvine, Gabriela began her studies on Social Media as a Performance Space.  She has presented her paper, Ballet Uploaded: A Dying Art Revitalized Online, at the University of California, Riverside for the Dance Under Construction graduate conference in 2012. Five of her social media dance videos were presented at Nagoya Women's University in Japan.  Gabriela continues her passion in education and guest lectures at Cal State Channel Islands, Loyola Marymount University, and UC Irvine.

Since 2011, she has worked as a freelance social media consultant in Southern California, worked with DanceOn, a multi-channel digital entertainment network co-founded by Madonna, and with the creative agencies TK Agency and BLKBX Creative Group.  Gabriela's various clients in dance, fitness, retail, and entertainment include DancePlug, National Choreographers Initiative, DanceOn, Laguna Dance Festival, CLI Studios, and developing the social media presence for Beyoncé's dancers, Les Twins. She has also trained other dance majors in social media management and has been featured in Dance Informa web publications.  Contact her for a  guest lecture appearance!
